Don’t forget to clean the toaster from time to time!
The toaster’s job is to toast the bread. The bread as long as it is toasted, but never without leaving crumbs in the toaster. In the long run, the crumbs accumulate again and again and must be cleaned!
Besides crumbs, fingerprints or food can also be left everywhere on the toaster! So no more time to waste and hop on cleaning! Here are some ideas for cleaning a toaster.
1. Turn the toaster
To remove the bread crumbs, turn the toaster upside down, shaking it lightly. Be careful not to shake it too much. Otherwise, it will break.
2. Revive the white color of the toaster
If your toaster is white, you can quickly restore its color. To do this, add a little baking soda and a little bleach to 4 cups of hot water. Dip a sponge in this mixture and wash your toaster.
3. Peel off the plastic pieces
If you accidentally let plastic bread ties stick to your toaster, here’s how to remove them. Wait for your toaster to cool down and run a little nail polish remover on it.
4. Clean a stainless steel toaster
To clean a stainless steel toaster, simply wash it with a mixture of soapy water, white vinegar, and olive oil.
5. Clean the crumb tray
Some toasters will have drawers specially designed to collect crumbs. To clean these drawers, simply remove the bits and then use a mild soap with warm water to clean thoroughly.
6. Disinfect the interior
Mix a little water with a bit of bleach. Soak a cloth in the mixture and twist it to the maximum so that it is barely damp. This is an electrical device; no drop of water should enter it! Roll the cloth over a large wooden spoon, and you can gently rub the inside of the toaster.

8. Operate the toaster after cleaning
By not putting anything in, run your toaster once or twice so that it dries faster inside.
9. Clean with glass cleaner
To clean the exterior of a metal toaster, you can use a glass cleaner. The outside of your toaster will be perfectly clean, and no traces will be left behind.
10. Softsoap and dry cloth
Another way to clean a metal toaster is to wash the outside with mild soap and water and then scrub it with a fine dry cloth.
