How to Clean Ceramic Stove Top?

June 29, 2020 By Miranda Jackson Leave a Comment

It was a revolution in the kitchen world since it is more comfortable to clean, safer, and saves more energy: the ceramic hob or stovetop is an essential part of any kitchen.

Therefore, we give you some tips to keep it clean and cared for without having to use too much time or effort. It can be difficult, especially when something is burned or sticks, but you will always make it shiny and ready with these simple tips.

1. Dishwashing liquid

It sounds harmless, but using dishwashing liquid can be very useful on a baking sheet. Just take a sponge and moisten it, then add a few drops of dish soap. Rub the surface of your ceramic hob and remove any stains. Once clean, dry the plate with a microfiber cloth.

2. Claystone

Soak your sponge in claystone, which you will find in the form of a compact powder or paste. Rub your ceramic hob until the fat disappears. Finally, rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth while buffing your plate.

3. Use a doctor blade

The scraper is something that you cannot miss in your kitchen if you have a ceramic hob. Thanks to its handle and blade design, it will allow you to remove the most significant residues and stains with little effort.

4. No scrubbing with scouring pads

Do not use scouring pads or sponges. The surface of the glass-ceramic could be scratched and scratched. Instead, use kitchen paper or organic cloths when removing the product.

5. Do not use abrasive products

Abrasive cleaning products such as oven cleaners or some stain removers can damage the ceramic surface. There are specific products for cleaning the ceramic hob that will keep it more hygienic apart from giving you a better result.

6. Act fast

That a plastic container melts is normal, and you should not scream in the sky if, in an oversight, you leave a Tupper or the palette with which you have stirred the recipe on top of the ceramic hob. The trick is to act fast while it is hot because it will harden and make it much harder to clean if it cools down completely. In similar cases, such as foods with jam-like sugar, the procedure is the same: act quickly!

7. Constant maintenance

If you use the plate as a work surface, do not forget to wipe it after each use to remove residues or hard particles that could cause scratches.

8. Tips to clean the hob: vinegar to polish

White vinegar is the super cleaner of the house. Advantage? Fast, efficient, cheap, and 100% natural! White vinegar has properties that will allow you to remove all stains from your ceramic hob.

To clean a ceramic hob, you must:

• Pour white vinegar into a spray bottle. Then spray it onto the baking sheet. Leave on for 10 minutes.
• Using a sponge or cloth, rub and clean your plate.
• Once the stains are gone, take a damp sponge and rinse the plate.
• Finally, dry your plate.

Note: For the tip to be even more effective, heat the white vinegar beforehand. Its effects will be multiplied.

9. Use proper pots and pans

Another trick to avoid the nasty scratches and scratches on your ceramic hob is to use proper pots and pans. In addition to having a smooth bottom so that the contact area is as regular as possible, you must consider that the diameter of the base is the same size as the area to be heated. Also, make sure that it is slightly curved inwards so that, when it expands, the support is entirely flat.

10. Ice to descale

You are facing a problematic stain, the kind that doesn’t come out with the scraper. What to do? Don’t despair: grab an ice cube, run it over the stain for a minute, and then finish the job with the doctor blade.

11. Lemon impossible for stains

If we clean the stains on your ceramic hob and there are still leftovers, we will give you a lemon tip!

For effective cleaning of your ceramic hob, cut a lemon in half and pass it directly over the resistant stains. Leave on for 5 minutes, then use a sponge to remove the dirt. Finally, spray the water and use a cloth to dry the surface.

12. Chalk Powder

Another very effective tip is to use chalk powder, which is an excellent cleaner.

• To clean your ceramic hob, mix a teaspoon of water and 2 teaspoons of chalk powder. You will get a paste.
• Spread this paste on the stained areas, then gently rub the plate using a damp sponge.
• Finally, rinse and dry with a clean microfiber cloth.

13. Wooden spatula

With a wooden spatula, you can scrape away stains that are more difficult to remove.

14. Alcohol vinegar and ceramic hob

Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda in a little alcohol vinegar, and you will have a good cleaning mixture for your ceramic hobs.

15. Bleach

With a sponge soaked in bleach, gently rub your ceramic hob. Remember to rinse your ceramic hob well to remove all traces of bleach.

16. Mirror cleaner

Use finish products for mirrors as a cleaner on your ceramic hob.

17. The best trick: not to mess

With constant care and proper maintenance, your ceramic hob will stay just like the first day, free of stains and scratches and ready to go!
