How to Get a Beautiful Lawn?

October 20, 2020 By Miranda Jackson Leave a Comment

Are you interested in having a beautiful lawn?

Having a beautiful lawn requires some maintenance effort. It is, of course, always friendly to have a beautiful green and healthy lawn, but if you are negligent in its maintenance and good care, you will, unfortunately, have a diseased, dull, and uneven property.

The ten tips for having a beautiful lawn:

1. Have a reasonable length of the lawn

A nice height of grass should be around three inches. There is no need to cut it too short. Otherwise, it will be easy to perceive the earth or the faults. Better to cut it regularly than to cut it too fast.

Also, a long lawn will be much more enduring during a drought than a too short property. A right length for a nice yard all summer long.

2. When to mow the lawn?

You should never mow your lawn when it is still too wet after the rain or the morning dew. It should be cut when it is perfectly dry. Thus, the property will be less damaged during cutting, and the lawn will be less at risk from insects. In the end, a beautiful yard all summer long, like your neighbor’s.

3. Watering time for a beautiful lawn

When you water your lawn, it is important to water it for at least 30 minutes in each area. Such good watering can be done once a week. Of course, it is important to check your neighborhood regulations on water consumption.

If this is a new lawn, it may be necessary to water the lawn for an hour for each area. Sod needs lots and lots of water for the first two weeks after installation.

4. Use old grass for a beautiful lawn

If you have a mower in your possession that offers the ability to mulch, once you’ve cut your grass, leave it all over your lawn. In two or three days, the old grass will integrate into your lawn and give it back its nutrients.

Avoid this process if the weather has been arid for several days as you risk damaging your lawn.

5. Avoid chemical fertilizers on your lawn

It is not good to regularly fertilize your lawn with chemical fertilizers. The ideal is to fertilize your soil in the spring with good homemade compost and without chemical or toxic ingredients. To have a beautiful lawn, avoiding too chemical fertilizers is essential.

6. Learn to live with all plants

Whether they are dandelions or others, plants exist. We sometimes forget that our soil is often more resistant than we think. Plants can add a little je ne sais quoi to our lawns, so avoiding plucking them all is a good idea to keep a beautiful lawn looking healthy longer.

7. A sharp mower blade

Always keep your mower blade sharp. Otherwise, your blade may tear the grass rather than cut it well. To sharpen your blade, you can go to a small engine repair area, among other things—a sharp blade for a beautiful, healthy lawn.

8. add seed to your lawn

In the spring or several times during the summer, it is good to give your lawn a little grass seed so that it becomes denser and stronger. It will also be less conducive to insect pests on lawns. You can add good soil or compost at the same time you add grass seed.

9. Have beautiful neighboring lawns

It might be a good idea to advise your neighbors on how to have a beautiful lawn. Because if your neighbors have a badly maintained lawn, you risk easily receiving the pests’ visit walking on the neighboring lawns.

10. Beautify your lawn

Having a beautiful lawn is good, but just as well adorning it with pretty flowers, gardens, stones, or shrubs. Having a beautiful lawn means having a beautiful lawn, but also a beautiful general decoration around it.
