August 31, 2020 By Miranda Jackson Leave a Comment

One of the best ways to stay hydrated or, better said, adequately hydrated is to consume alkaline water. This combination dispenses with the typical sodium bicarbonate and is dumped by the great salt of the Himalayas. Do you dare to try it?

It has been a while since the alkaline diet has become fashionable. Many are those who joined, and many others also appear who are detractors of it. But, even so, some of the recipes proposed by this regime are very suitable for anyone.

For example, now the summer is coming, it is necessary to be very well hydrated. And, in addition to water, you can add other additional nutrients to that drink. One of the best ways to do it is through alkaline water, but instead of baking, with salt from the Himalayas, the pink salt with beautiful nutrients.

How to prepare alkaline saltwater from the Himalayas

It has no science to prepare this tremendous alkaline water. You will only have to follow the steps, and you will have it in your power from one night to the next.

  1. Fill a pitcher with filtered or mineralized water.
  2. Add an organic lemon cut into quarters, with your skin and everything. Do not squeeze it; simply place it in the jar.
  3. Add a teaspoon of Himalayan salt tea and finally mix and let it sit overnight.

Finally, when you wake up, fasting, the first thing you should do is drink a glass of this tremendous alkaline water. And then, go consuming it throughout the day. Thus, you will get all its great benefits, among which is mainly the fact of balancing the pH and regularizing body acidity. But, above all things, it will give you an option to be wonderfully hydrated.

Properties of Himalayan Salt and Uses

The properties of the pink salt of the Himalayas are well known by those people who like to take care of their body and health and is probably the healthiest salt in the world not to be treated with chemicals, as is the case with common refined salt.

We know that refined foods are harmful to our body, and foods such as white salt, white sugar, or white flour are many times part of people’s food without them knowing how harmful and the diseases that produce this type of food.

The benefits of the salt of the Himalayas are many because it is a pure salt that does not go through any refining process, and its medicinal or healing properties help people to fight diseases such as hypertension, cancer, or diabetes, among others.

In addition to seeing the properties and benefits of Himalayan salt, we will see its uses that are both external and internal.

Benefits of consuming salt from the Himalayas

Let’s see what benefits it takes to consume salt from the Himalayas instead of refined table salt or sea salt, which in the latter case is more polluted than a few years ago as we can imagine.

  • Balances blood and cell pH
  • Regulates the level of sugar in the blood
  • Delays aging
  • Prevents heart attacks and improves heart health in general
  • It favors the generation of hydroelectric energy cells
  • Suitable for brain cells helping to balance their acidity
  • Prevents osteoporosis naturally
  • Cleans the lungs of phlegm
  • Improves intestinal health
  • It’s good for asthma
  • Helps prevent muscle cramps
  • It is a powerful natural antihistamine
  • Good to regulate sleep
  • Prevents the appearance of varicose veins in legs
  • Combats nasal congestion
  • Increases libido naturally

All these medicinal properties of the Himalayan salt are demonstrated just as it is shown how bad it is to eat foods containing refined salt.

It is said that the crystallized salt of the Himalayas contains 84 elements, among which the following stand out:

  • Calcium
  • Sodium chloride

Now we are going to see what uses the salt of the Himalayas that as we said before are external and internal:

Uses of the salt of the Himalayas

Internal uses

Saline solution

Making a salt solution with Himalayan salt provides many therapeutic benefits, among which are balancing the body’s pH by establishing a better balance between acidic and alkaline medium.

By consuming what we do is to expel toxic substances from our body such as heavy metals and fight diseases such as gout or osteoarthritis, among others.

Inhalations of salt from the Himalayas

Among the recommended uses of the Himalayan salt are the inhalations of the steam that this salt releases, and this can be done in 2 ways.

One of them is making the fumes of all life, placing salt from the Himalayas in boiling water and inhaling the steam by placing a towel on top of it as we do when we have a cold or flu.

The other way is to use a special inhaler for this product. In both cases, it helps us against allergies, asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis, congestion, against viral infections, to reduce snoring or against cystic fibrosis.

The properties of the Himalayan Salt when inhaling are also those of reducing the effects of contamination since they help to eliminate the polluting influences.

To cook

Of course, one of the uses with which we can take advantage of the benefits of this healthy element is when it comes to cooking.

In the kitchen, the salt of the Himalayas gives us a balanced and complete nutrient, and using it, replacing the common salt or sea salt, will significantly benefit our health.

This salt is much better for cooking, first because it contains many more minerals, second because we will need less salt to prepare the recipes, and later because it is more flavorful than refined salt.

External uses

The salt baths

The benefits of baths with salt from the Himalayas are among others:

To prepare a bath with this salt, what we can do is place salt of the Himalayas in hot water of the bath one hour before bathing and stir to dissolve the salt or prepare the saline solution in advance.

Add a little of this water in the bathtub to benefit from the properties of this therapeutic bath.

The washed with salt.

Also, washing with a solution with this salt helps us wash our eyes, nose, or throat, and we can even gargle with it.

In these cases, it is usual to throw about 9 grams per liter of water that we use.

In addition to all this, it is also used in compresses or poultices for skin problems or muscle aches. It is also widely used in cosmetic products.
