How to Reduce Skin Ageing Naturally?

The aging of the skin begins around the third decade of life. However, it can vary based on race, hormonal activity, and genetics. This is what is called chronological aging, and it is inevitable.

However, there is another type of aging, premature aging, that you can avoid and mitigate with the practice of some habits.

It is about the aging of the skin due to external factors such as:

  • Solar exposure.
  • Environmental pollution.
  • Tobacco use.
  • Eating habits.
  • Certain drug treatments.
  • Stress.

As a consequence, the skin tissues are affected, and due to these external aggressions, wrinkles, spots, and other signs of aging appear on the skin.

Fortunately, some products help us protect our skin and certain healthy habits that we can incorporate into our lives to avoid or minimize premature aging of the skin.

1. Sleep well

During the period of rest and night sleep, a process of regeneration of the skin takes place that is decisive to keep it young. During the sleep period, the cells are activated and repair the damage suffered by free radicals and toxins in the environment.

Therefore, a minimum of 7 hours of sleep is essential to keep the skin healthy and free from premature aging.

2. Include antioxidants in your diet

If free radicals are bent on oxidizing the proteins that keep your skin firm, try to make it difficult for them. A healthy and balanced diet full of antioxidants is the key to seeking skin rejuvenation. The foods with the most antioxidant power are those that contain:

3. Avoid tobacco

It is proven that the skin of smokers ages faster compared to that of people who lead a healthy lifestyle. Tobacco smoke dries out the skin, and smoking reduces the amount of blood flow to it, depriving it of oxygen and other essential nutrients and causing it to become dehydrated.
