How to Remove Candle Wax?

Be careful not to escape the candle wax

Romantic evening, candlelit supper, party cake… All good opportunities to accidentally pour candle wax somewhere.

Fortunately, it is possible to remove this wax with a few very simple tricks. Here are some tips for removing candle wax.

1. Candle wax on fabric

How to remove candle wax from fabric? Scrape off excess wax with a metal spoon. Pour talc on the stain and place some absorbent sheets on top. Then pass a hot iron to melt the wax and thus make it stick on the paper.

2. Removing Wax from Leather

Scrape off the excess wax and place paper towels on it. Then put on the hot iron. For best results, use baking soda and leave to act for a few hours.

3. On painted wood

How to remove candle wax from painted wood? Apply an iron straw to the wax while rubbing. Then pour turpentine on a cloth, then add a little linseed oil and rub it all. A great tip for quickly removing candle wax from wood.

4. Candle wax on the carpet

How to remove candle wax from carpet? Once the wax is completely dry, pour methylated spirits on a cotton pad and rub. Rinse and dry the carpet to finish.

5. Removing Wax from Concrete

Scrape off excess wax and pour liquid scouring powder onto a sponge and scrub the stain. Then rinse; on the concrete surface to remove all the wax.

6. Removing Wax from tiles

Pour very hot white vinegar over the wax to make it softer. Peel off the wax with a spoon and with a cloth rub everything with a little ammonia.

7. On wallpaper

How to Get Candle Wax Off? Gently rub the softer part with a utility knife. Pour turpentine essence on a cotton pad and rub the candle wax stain. Then wash with another wet cotton pad.

8. Removing candle wax from plastic

Remove the excess wax with a metal spoon and then rub with steel wool and soap. Use a damp cloth and dry with a dry cloth.

9. On the enamel

Simply rub the candle wax by rubbing it with a brush and hot water.

10. Candle wax stain on marble

Rub the stain with steel wool and then complete with hot vinegar. Rinse to finish.
