How To Remove Deodorant Stains Fast?

June 29, 2020 By Miranda Jackson Leave a Comment

A stain of deodorant that won’t leave? Everyone hates to put on a sweater and then notice traces of deodorant under the sleeves! Even worse when it is a dark-colored sweater, and the marks are white and therefore very showy!

Are you tired of these traces? Want to know how to remove deodorant stains from armpits of shirts?

So here are some tips for removing deodorant stains:

1. Iron and stain of deodorant

And yes! If the deodorant dried and left a mark, place sheets of absorbent paper on the stains and iron it. The heat will take off the traces of the deodorant.

2. Use soda crystals

Pour soda crystals into a tub of hot water. Soak your stained sweater for about 1 hour (or more if necessary), and then rinse.

3. Hydrogen peroxide

For a deodorant stain on a white sweater, soak a towel with oxygenated water and dab the deodorant stain. Then rinse.

4. Remove a deodorant stain with white vinegar

For a dark sweater, soak a towel in white vinegar and dab the stain. Then rinse.

5. Hot soapy water

Put your sweater under hot water and vigorously rub the deodorant stains with a bar of soap. Then rinse.

6. Coldwater and deodorant

Some deodorant stains will simply leave with a little cold water! So put your sweater under cold water and rub the deodorant stain with your hands.

7. Salt

This trick will help you remove the old traces that have permeated the fabric. It works for white clothes, but also dark garments.

Take a pinch of salt. Moisten the piece of cloth with the stain and sprinkle salt on it. Leave on for between eight and twelve hours. Or even better, overnight. Then, moisten the garment again, take a little salt and lightly rub the fabric. After this “peel,” wash the garment in the washing machine, choosing the appropriate program.

8. Wash before drying

Always wash your clothes before putting them in the dryer. In other words, if you wash your clothes and you see that there are still traces of deodorant, do not put them in the dryer anyway because the heat will embed the deodorant more in the garment.

9. 70° alcohol to remove a stain of deodorant

If you do not have the necessary equipment to develop one of our recipes mentioned above, do not panic. Just dab the deodorant traces on your white shirt (or other garments) with a little alcohol at 70 °, then rinse thoroughly to see the stains disappear. It also works with traces of foundation.

10. Lemon juice

With its help, you can remove fresh stains from deodorant. Press a few drops of lemon juice on the stain. Leave on for five to ten minutes. Then wash the garment by hand using lukewarm water.

10. Ammonia to remove a stain of deodorant

Particularly effective against yellow spots, just dilute the ammonia with cold water and apply it lightly on deodorant traces. Rinse with soapy water.

WARNING: Ammonia is undoubtedly the best stain remover for sweat and deodorant. It is also a product that must be used with care, in a very ventilated room, avoiding to breathe it and hands protected by gloves cleaning.
